Express Entry Draw Prediction October 2026: Next Draw Date & Expected CRS Cut-off
Express Entry Draw Prediction: October 2026
Last updated: October 7, 2026
IRCC does not publish a draw schedule in advance — but the pattern of the last two months makes the next window easy to narrow down. Here is what the data says about the next Express Entry draw, the expected CRS cut-off, and what it means for your score.
Latest draw: October 1, 2026 (#447)
- Round: #447 — Trades Occupations (category-based)
- ITAs issued: 3,500
- Minimum CRS score: 476
- Tie-breaking rule: May 28, 2026 at 16:55:23 UTC (profiles submitted before this time were invited first at the cut-off score)
The 476 cut-off applies only to the Trades category — it cannot be compared directly with general or CEC draws, which have been running 40+ points higher.
Next Express Entry draw: expected week of October 12
Since late July, IRCC has run draws in clusters: several rounds across consecutive days, then roughly two quiet weeks. The median gap between clusters is 14 days. Recent clusters began July 20, August 4, August 17, August 31, September 14 and September 28 — and the last one opened September 28 (PNP), September 29 (CEC) and October 1 (Trades).
If the fortnightly cadence holds, the next cluster lands in the week of October 12 — the same week as Canadian Thanksgiving (Monday, Oct 12). The most probable sequence, based on the last six clusters:
- Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) round first
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw within a day
- At least one category-based round (French proficiency, Healthcare, or Trades have been the most frequent)
⚠️ Honest caveat: IRCC has broken the pattern before — most notably a 28-day gap in May–June 2026 with no explanation. Treat this as a base rate, not a promise.
CRS cut-off trends to watch
Recent ranges by category (2026):
| Draw type | Recent CRS range |
|---|---|
| Canadian Experience Class (CEC) | 515–523 |
| Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) | 697–805 |
| French language proficiency | 382–420 |
| Healthcare & Social Services | 467–475 |
| Trades Occupations | 476–477 |
| Transport Occupations | ~470 |
What this means for you: if you are in the CEC pool, the realistic target remains 515+. French-speaking candidates continue to see the lowest cut-offs of any stream (under 420). A provincial nomination (600 bonus points) remains the single biggest lever — PNP draws invite at 697+ because the nomination itself puts candidates far above the line.
How to be ready before the next draw
- Check your CRS score now — use our free CRS Score Calculator to see exactly where you stand.
- Keep your Express Entry profile updated — expired language tests or a wrongly mapped NOC code can cost you an invitation.
- If your score is below 515 and you are not in a category stream, consider a PNP stream or retaking your language test — both move the needle fast.
